Day 33 - 28 September 2012

Another somewhat slow start to the morning. I got up around 0615 to go talk to Meagan. With the busy night of Scouts, she was going to put the kids in bed as soon as she got home. So, it was just going to be us. She sent me a picture of Taylor's awards. I'm so proud of my little man and all of his accomplishments over he summer! Meagan said he is really proud of them too and eager to do more!

I received a message from my sister on Facebook regarding my unfriending of her. It hurt being turned down for a visit this summer...for the second year in a row. I just got tired of the drama, which I'm not sure why we have drama in the first place...

I headed back to the room, after stopping by the USO for a cup of coffee, and took a short snooze before heading into work.

Went into lunch and we had prime rib again! Today's was better than the other day, by far. When I got back to the office, I dug into the rum cake I received last night! I washed it down with a cup of french vanilla latte that Meagan sent me mix for a week or so ago. YUM!

Not really much going on at work today. I did go pick up something from shipping, so I can mark that off the training checklist! I'm just slowly working my way toward taking over...soon!

Dinner wasn't too bad...steak and lobster. The lobster, surprisingly, good! And, I haven't had a bad steak here yet, which is a lot more than I can say about the steaks we had in Iraq. On surf 'n' turf night in Iraq, I usually just went for a sandwich...

That's pretty much my day in a nutshell. Nothing too exciting going on at the moment on this side of the world. I'm headed off to bed soon so I can get up and talk to the family in the morning. That said, goodnight all! God bless!
