Day 23 - 18 September 2012

Happy 65th birthday, United States Air Force!!!

Got up this morning at 0500. I set the first alarm for 0430, but wasn't able to actually get up and around until 0500. Got around and headed out to talk to Meagan and the kiddos! Emma didn't really have much to say; just munching on her cheese. Taylor talked to me about his day and asked about mine...the usual chat. Meagan and I talked about the air conditioning ordeal. We're still working on trying to get our final bill lowered, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Meagan is going to talk to the other company about a maintenance plan and ask why they still have yet to contact her about repairing our system. Perhaps we can get a better maintenance deal with them...we'll see.

Went back to the room and took a nap while my netbook loaded music in iTunes. Trying to get ready for my next trip, which will hopefully begin today. The prospects don't look good, however, as there are only a handful of seats open and I am low on the totem pole.

I've been working on trying to knock out the next module of my Course 14. So, that's what I started on at work today. It's a little slow right now, so I have some extra time to work on that. I would like to have it knocked out by Thanksgiving so I can focus the rest of my time on making E-7.

So, I just sat outside the terminal, since they were cleaning, and no flights for today...I will try yet again tomorrow. Ah, the joys of space available flight...

Went back to work and not really much going on. Sat in on a couple of calls, but otherwise uneventful. Dinner wasn't too bad. I had beef goulash on noodles, cucumber salad, carrots, and a cookie; all washed down with one box each of apple juice and pineapple juice.

Came over to the terminal for internet after work. I'm trying to get some updates for the netbook...still. I'm enjoying my first bottle of Arizona Half & Half, thanks to my wonderful wife's care package arriving today! She sent a box of Half & Half and a box of Pomegranate Green Tea. Absolutely LOVE that girl! :)

Checked the schedule...no open flights tomorrow. Dang...I'll try again on Thursday! In the meantime, I created a certificate to fly some flags while I'm over here. I'm hoping to get a bunch flown for family and friends. It should be easy, since I'll be flying quite often...

Well, my work is done for tonight. Time to head back to bed for an early rise again tomorrow. Night all...God bless!
